ART DIRECTION
From the 20th to 25th of September, 2018, in conjunction with the Milan Fashion Week, designers and artists under the age of 35 will feature an array of selected designs throughout selected Maroncelli district galleries and showrooms of the Maroncelli District. “Fashion is not a dress”, is an opportunity to encounter unique universes and imaginations of young and promising artisans. The decision to exhibit conjointly with Milan Fashion Week pursues a two-fold objective: to focus absolutely on these works as well as weave new and fruitful collaborations between the porous spaces that segregate fashion, art and design. Precisely for this reason, the Maroncelli District was chosen (our organization is eternally grateful for its availability and hospitality) because it personifies
an alternative to what is generally represented through the fashion community – it embodies
a classical atmosphere which has been conceived as a way of life, embracing art – from home and office design and hand craftsmanship, to niche design and novelty table ornamentation.
